Personal packaging list
This packing list should be regarded as an suggestion and isn’t necessarily the only things that will be needed. Sometimes there might be something extra – make sure to check with your leaders or the note for the activity. The leaders will always be equipped with a cellphone. Remember to not bring to much candy, sometimes you’re not even allowed to bring candy – but be calm, there’s always some kind of candy on each camp.
Almost always:
- Backpack (to have your stuff in)
- Sleeping bag
- Groundsheet (if we’re sleeping outside, ask your leaders)
- Sleepwear
- T-shirt for change
- Sweatshirt or similar
- Warm sweater (e.g. fleece)
- Tough/untenderly pants (remember that jeans easily get wet)
- Wind proof jacket (wear it from start)
- Beanie, gloves and scarf is always good to bring (even though it’s just a little chilly)
- Underwear and socks for change (an extra pair is always good to have)
- Warm socks (prefarable wool)
- Water proof boots or similar (rubber boots might get to hot)
- Sneakers (not needed if it’s not hot)
- Rain clothes (jacket, pants, cap/hood)
- Washing towel
- Toliet requisites
- Personal medication. Tell your leaders so that we know if you’re using personal medication!
- Plate, cup, cutlery and tea-cloth (not fragile)
- Pocket torch (test the batteries)
- Extra batteries for the torch
- Knife (if you have the badge for it)
- Teddy (Even for leaders!)
- Scoutshirt, wear it! (if you haven’t got one, visit scoutshop)
Summer:
- Shorts
- Swimming suits and towel
- Suncream and mosquito repellent
- Sandals (if it’s a longer hike/camp or in canoes)
- Extra smaller daypack/backpack (if a long camp)
Winter:
- Extra gloves (often gets wet)
- Long underwear / thermal underwear
- Warm boots
- Extra warm change, it’s almost always colder at camps
For the older scout:
- Working gloves
- Scarf of Hvitfeldt
- Campfire blanket
- Firemaking bag
- Survival kit
- Paper and pen
When going abroad:
- Passport
- EU-insurance card
- Address book (everyone love postcards)
